Kadapa, January 14: “It will not take more than half an hour for Jagan to dethrone the state government” former mayor P Ravindranatha Reddy said.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, he claimed that Jagan was reluctant to bring down the government as it was his late father’s sweat and toil that went into the formation of the government.
Disagreeing with health minister DL Ravindra Reddy taunting Jagan to pull down the government if he was capable of it, Ravindranath Reddy said Jagan’s target was to win the election in 2014 and hence he restrained from bringing down the government. The former mayor said Jagan’s ‘Jala Deeksha’ at Delhi was neither for publicity nor a show of strength, but to build up pressure on the centre and state to rectify the injustice meted out to AP farmers in the distribution of Krishna river waters.
Claiming that the deeksha was a success, he said it set a new trend drawing the attention of all, by its disciplined and peaceful manner. Jagan was also acclaimed at nationallevel through this as a farmers’ friend, after his late father YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he added.
