Congress party spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy on Friday suspected YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy’s hand behind the death of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the helicopter crash in 2009.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Tulasi Reddy dismissed the charges of YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma suspecting Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s involvement behind the YSR’s demise.
Instead, he alleged that Jagan might be responsible for his father’s death in the helicopter crash as he might go any extent to assume power.
Tulasi Reddy compared Jagan’s mindset with that of Moghul emperor Aurangazeb, who killed his own brothers to become the king.
The PCC spokesperson said that Vijayamma has no moral right to speak against Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party.
Stating that Vijayamma was leveling baseless charges against the Congress party to get mileage in the by-elections, he asked as to why Vijayamma met Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi after the demise of YSR and why she has contested from Pulivendula Assembly constituency on Congress ticket in 2010 elections if she had doubts over YSR’s death.
