Kadapa, January 08: Former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy will officially announce the name of the party that he will float at YSR Ghat at Idupulapaya here on January 13, according to former mayor P Ravindranadha Reddy.
Disclosing this to mediapersons at Khazipet today, he said the new party would fulfill the aspirations and aims of the late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Ridiculing the reported comment made by minister DL Ravindra Reddy that the Congress rule under YSR was a nothing different from robbers’ rule, Ravindranath Reddy wanted the minister to disclose how much share he had got from the booty during that period.
Recalling that it was YSR who had reopened the Chennur sugar factory for the benefit of farmers, he said the same factory now remained closed.
“The minister failed to take steps for the reopening of the factory, which showed the lip sympathy of the minister to the people of the district.” He claimed that there was overwhelming response from the youth, minorities and farmers to Jagan’s announcement on the new party.
Khazipet former MPP DL Srinivasulu Reddy and some MPTCs held discussions with the former Kadapa mayor on joining the Jagan camp.
