Jagan all set to resume yatra tomorrow

Hyderabad, September 02: Despite reservations of the party high command, Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to resume his controversial yatra in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district tomorrow.

Jagan’s yatra would continue and it has nothing to do with the party high command’s offer of financial assistance to the families of those who died following the death of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy last year, a close confidante of Jagan, Ambati Rambabu, said today.

“What is the need to stop the yatra? How high command’s decision and Jagan’s yatra are related? Odarpu yatra is sentimental,” Rambabu said in Tirupati.

“Odarpu yatra would start as per scheduled tomorrow. I feel it is the responsibility of Jagan to continue the yatra till the last family is consoled,” he said.

Jagan would console 41 families during his 15-day tour in Prakasam district, sources said.
