Telangana Education Minister, G Jagadish Reddy today ridiculed Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy for his comments against the TRS Government. He lambasted Jana Reddy for his remarks against the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao that he is ignorant of crop loan waiver and fees reimbursement issues and the manifesto promises.
Participating in a Nalgonda TRS Party meeting, the Minister expressed serious discontent on Jana Reddy for stating that students and farmers are caught in confusion over fees reimbursement and crop loan waiver. ‘We are committed to implement our Manifesto promises and the opposition leader should stop mudslinging on us’, he said. Taken by surprise over Jana Reddy indulging in a ‘mindless talk on farm loan waiver and fees reimbursement issues’, he alleged the former was least bothered of welfare of his home district Nalgonda and state. Jana is resorting to provoke the students, he alleged. It is known to all that the previous Congress regime failed to cater to the needs of farming community that led to suicides. The Congress leader never spoke on problems of the people during his stint as the minister besides ignoring the illegal drawing of irrigation waters from Nagarjuna Sagar by Andhra rulers, he criticized.
The Minister sought to know why Jana Reddy never protested transfer of Polavaram submergence mandals to Andhra Pradesh and failed to prevent thousands of ryots from committing suicides. The Congress leader ought to reply to the people of the district as he failed to attend Nalgonda review meetings. Jagadish Reddy warned that the people of the district will teach Jana Reddy a lesson if he failed to abstain from false criticism.(NSS)
