New Delhi: A letter of appeal of Jadhav’s mother has been sent to Pakistan by India on Thursday, who is sentenced to death in a secret trial by a military court for espionage charges.
“We have made the 16th request to Pakistan for consular access and also informed about Jadhav’s mother who wants a visa to visit him,” the spokesperson of Ministry of External Affair Gopal Baglay said.
Jadhav’s mother has desired to meet his son and asked the Federal Government of Pakistan for their intervention for his release.
On being asked if India would score 100 in requests seeking consular access to Jadhav, the spoke person said, “We wanted to get out on 0″. We have no charge sheet against Jadhav. We don’t even know who defended him.”
Pakistan is continuously refusing New Delhi’s request for consular access. Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua turned down the request on the grounds that it did not apply to spies.
Jadhav has been sentenced to death on espionage charges, However, India has denied any such allegations.
