Jacqueline Fernandez goes to UN against animal testing

New York: Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez visited the United Nations (UN) headquarters on World Animal Day with a petition against animal testing containing 8 million signatures.

The initiative is a part of the ‘Forever Against Animal Testing’ campaign run by a brand that the actor endorses.

The ‘Race 3’ actor attended the special event at UN headquarters and also addressed the audience. She posted about the visit on her Instagram story and looked visibly happy to be a part of the noble cause.

Jacqueline owns multiple pets and happens to be an avid animal lover, she believes that there is no beauty in harming anyone, especially animals.

Apart from animal welfare, Jacqueline Fernandez actively supports marine conservation and also contributes to creating awareness on the same.

According to figures by People for Ethical Treatment of PETA, each year, more than 100 million animals-including mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds-are killed in U.S. laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, and curiosity-driven experimentation.
