After engaging public opinion through a survey conducted, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee unanimously decided to extend its support to TRS candidate Mr. Bhikshapathi Goud in Parkal. It was disclosed by Prof. Kodandaram, Chairman, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee while he was talking to newsmen yesterday.
Prof. Kodandaram told that the political parties of Seema Andhra have been making attempts to get a footing in Telangana Region which has to be checked. According to the reports of the survey conducted by JAC, it was revealed that TRS has a wider support in Parkal. Out of 18 Assembly constituencies, Parkal is the only constituency in Telangana Region. BJP had floated its candidate in Parkal which placed Telangana Political JAC in a state of hesitation. JAC had earlier decided to remain neutral because both TRS and BJP are struggling for separate Telangana but taking into consideration the present situation. JAC decided to support TRS to save the division of votes of the supporters of Telangana.
Prof. Kodandaram told that with the division of Telangana votes, Seema Andhra leaders would be benefited. This is the reason JAC has arrived at this conclusion. Political stability is also necessary for strengthening Telangana movement. He appealed to the voters of Parkal to support the TRS candidate Mr. Bhikshapathi Goud.
It may be noted that by the neutral stand taken by Telangana Political Action Committee in Mahboobnagar by election its credibility was at stake. The failure of TRS candidate Mr. Syed Ibrahim brought down defame for Telangana JAC. It is trying to rebuild its confidence now.
