JAC staff demands filling up of 6 lakhs vacancies

Hyderabad, September 14: The Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers and Workers has demanded the State government to immediately fill up the six lakh vacancies in various Government departments.

The Joint Action Committee Secretariat meeting was held here on Monday, under the chairmanship of Mr Narayana, general secretary.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, JAC Secretary general Mr Swamy Goud demanded the State government to fill up district level posts through the district authority. He also demanded the State government to regularize 1,50,000 employees, who were working since last 15 years. The other demands included: scrapping apprentice system in teacher recruitment, providing 30 percent HRA in HMDA limits, 20 percent in district head-quarters and 15 percent to Taluka level employees, issue of health cards to all state government employees, ban on out- sourcing system, and introduction of new pension system to employees.

He said the bus yatra undertaken by the JAC was running successfully and huge response came from Employees and workers from all districts. He said that the second phase of Bus Yatra would take place in Mahaboobnagar on September 14, Gadwal and Wanaparthi on 15, Rajendra nagar, Chevella and Tandur on 16 in the Telangana region, and on September 15 Srikakulam, 16 Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam and 17 East Godavari in the Andhra Region, to create awareness on government negligent attitude in resolving their demands.

He said that the State government had discussed on health cards issue on August 26 this year and Chief Minister Mr K. Rosaiah has appointed a Group of Ministers committee on their eleven demands. He criticized that the GoM Committee did not call them so far. He said that they would conduct ‘Challo Hyderabad programme’ on September 25 with three lakhs employees, teachers and workers by applying Mass casual leave, protesting against the government’s indifferent attitude in resolving their long pending demands.
