Hyderabad, January 24: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) today held ”Sahajeevan Rally” to build confidence among the people of Andhra Pradesh who made Hyderabad their home saying their interests will be fully safeguarded after the separate State was created.
Addressing the participants, JAC Convenor M Kodanaram said, ”Hyderabad is the home for those who have come and settled from different parts of the country over a period of time. All can live together in peace as and when Telangana State is formed.” Hyderabad had a cosmopolitan culture even before it was merged with Andhra.
This would thrive even after creation of new Telangana State, he assured and urged the people residing in the capital to support the movement. He also asked them not to get carried away by ”mischievous” campaign that said the interests of Andhra people in Hyderabad would be in jeopardy if Telangana was created.
