Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Thursday said that the JAC would extend full cooperation to the Telangana Poru Yatra of Communist Party of India scheduled to be held on August 25.
Talking to media persons after holding discussions with CPI state secretary K Narayana at Makhdoom Bhavan, Kodandaram said that all leaders have to unite to achieve statehood for Telangana region. He said that the yatra was aimed to create awareness among the people over the statehood issue. He expressed confidence that all leaders, cutting across party lines, would participate in the yatra and make it a grand success. He asked the leaders to keep their party agenda aside for achieving the statehood. “No force can stop formation of Telangana state if all Telangana leaders unite,” he stated.
CPI state secretary Narayana said that the Telangana Poru Yatra would begin from Palvancha in Khammam district on August 25 and conclude at Warangal district on September 3. He said that the formation of Telangana state would not take much time if all the leaders unite under a common platform. He said that the CPI would extend its total support to TPJAC’s Telangana March scheduled to be held on September 30.
TNGO president G Devi Prasad Rao and Telangana Gazetted officers Association president Srinivas Goud were present in the meeting. (INN)
