J-K: Militant hideout busted, arms recovered

Kishtwar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India]: A militant hideout was on Monday busted by the army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kishtwar district’s Nagseni Tehsil area.

Based on a specific intelligence input, a joint operation was launched in Horanmarg forest of Nageseni Tehsil of Kishtwar district, which led to the busting of a well concealed hideout and recovery of large cache of arms, ammunition and war-like stores.

The recoveries included one AK 56 rifle along with two magazines, sixty AK 56 rounds, four UBGL grenades, four hand grenades, one wireless set, one Radio set antenna, three RPG rounds, one binocular, cooking utensils and two blankets.

This has reiterated the total domination of security forces in the Kishtwar District and also showcased the close co-ordination between the Army, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Special Operation Group (SOG) Kishtwar. (ANI)
