Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [ India]: As heavy snowfall continued to hit the Valley, the problems also seem to be rising.
The locals in the Valley are undergoing many problems related to transport, water and power supply.
In Patnitop, the disrupted water and power supply is hampering the normal functioning of the people.
A hotel manager has urged for the problem to be resolved at the earliest.
Even the tourists expressed disappointment due to the lack of basic facilities.
“We will have to return home early because of lack of basic facilities, like water & electricity at such a great picnic spot,” a tourist at Patnitop told ANI.
Transport has been heavily affected at Mughal road due to heavy snowfall dominating the region.
A local even sought for a permanent solution and even came up with a suggestion.
“A tunnel should be carved out so that Kashmir is connected with Rajouri, Poonch. Transport is badly affected,” he said.
With fresh snowfall covering the region every alternate day, it becomes very difficult for the locals as well as the tourists to function their daily routine exercises normally. (ANI)
