New Delhi : BJP leader Ram Madhav dubbed the meeting between Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as extremely cordial but said nothing concrete has been decided yet on government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Mehbooba ji wanted the honourable Prime Minister’s blessings and Modi ji assured her of all help. The PM asked the PDP chief to talk to the BJP members and decide the future course of action,” he told ANI here.
Denying any specials demands being raised by the PDP chief, Madhav said, “No such demands were raised by the PDP. The PDP legislature meeting will be held tomorrow and we will take any action after that.”
The BJP leader also made it clear that his party would go ahead with the agenda of alliance as carried in the state under the regime of late chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
“We are of the view that whatever Mufti Sahab left behind should be taken forward and we are willing to take it forward in the same form,” added Madhav.
He said that any further issues can be discussed after government formation or willingness to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier on Tuesday, the PDP chief met Prime Minister Modi at the latter’s official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence in the national capital in an effort to end the impasse over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting assumes significance after Mehbooba discussed the same with BJP chief Amit Shah last week. (ANI)
