J C Says Cabinet Expansion In The Offing

Rayalaseem senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy has said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was serious on taking forward the party and the government.

Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Saturday, JC said that the Chief Minister’s Delhi tour on May 6 was only for the sake of deliberations on party and the government situation in the State. He said that he has information on Cabinet expansion.

It may be recalled that the rebel Ministers Dr DL Ravindra Reddy, K Jana Reddy, Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha had met the PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanarayana at the latter’s residence and expressed their unhappiness over the Chief Minister taking decisions on his own. On the very next day, PCC Chief has sent a report to the party high command resulting in summoning of the Chief Minister to Delhi.

At another press meet, School Education Minister Dr S Sailajanath has said that the Chief Minister’s Delhi tour was a routine one. When asked about the alleged differences between the Chief Minister and Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, Sailajanath has said that it was not correct and made it clear that the positions of the leaders of Ananthapur district were safe.

Responding to another question, Saialjanath said that his aim was unity of the Telugu people in the State and the united Andhra Pradesh. (NSS)
