IYWA to Organize Indian Republic Day Festival Cricket Match

Jeddah: Indian consul general Faiz Ahmed Kidwai will lead the CGI-XI consisting of the consulate staff against IYWA-XI consisting of Indian Youth Welfare Association members in a festival cricket match to commemorate India’s 65th republic day on Saturday 25th January at Jeddah Cricket Association, JCA Cricket Complex Usfan, organized by Indian Youth Welfare Association-IYWA and sponsored by the Saudi Cricket Center-SCC, while it is being hosted by Jeddah Cricket Association-This is second Festival cricket event being organized by IYWA between the Indian Consulate staff and IYWA members to celebrate the Indian Republic Day with full of cricket fun and a family get together at Jeddah Cricket Association’s complex at Usfan.
The reporting time on the ground has been fixed at 10.30 A.M. and the match will start at 11.00 A.M. sharp to finish at 2.00 P.M. with lunch break of 15 minutes. The match will of be 15 overs a side and will be played with International cricket rules followed by prize distribution function after the completion of the match at the ground.
Saudi Cricket Center CEO Nadeem Nadwi & Indian Youth Welfare Association founder General Secretary Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki informed that there will be winner and runner up cup beside the performance awards to the man of the match, best batsman & best bowler along with individual medals to the both participating team members will be given.
IYWA chief coordinator Muzammil Hussain & President Surendrapal Singh informed that alongside the Festival cricket match families get together and indoor games competitions among the children and families of the consulate staff team members and the IYWA family members will be held. Chief Executive Officer Mr. T.P Shuhaib and Regional Business Development & Credit Manager, Al-RYAN INT’L.POLYCLINIC Jeddah, Mir Mahmood Ali said that it will be providing ambulance service at the ground during the match and also gift hampers for the indoor games and competitions.
