Riyadh: Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald Trump, President of US said that she was inspired by the development of Saudi women.
She met a group of Saudi women led by Princess Reema daughter of Prince Bandar. She told them that she was inspired by the stories of Saudi women and expressed her hope that it is possible for the women of the world to get empowerment by emulating their example.
After the meeting, she tweeted, “Today I met with Saudi Arabian women leaders and learned directly of their accomplishments, challenges and vision for the future”.

She said that the progress of Saudi women is very encouraging but a lot more has to be done.
It is to be mentioned that recently a royal decree removed the condition for women to obtain consent from a male guardian to carry out certain activities.
In the recent past, Saudi Govt. gave important positions to women such as head of the Saudi Stock Exchange and head of the major bank Samba.
Recently, Saudi Govt. allocated 20% seats for women in Shoura Council.
