It’s not true, Sach-in: Kambli

Mumbai, July 17: As reports of Vinod Kambli’s alleged comments on Sachin’s ‘lack of friendship’ and BCCI’s ‘communal approach’ do the rounds, the left-handed batsman shares his pain with media.

‘Useless, baseless rumours!’
He is hurt and sure that someone is playing dirty. “I am quite sure that somebody’s trying to create a rift between Sachin and me! But, our friendship is solid and we have been together since school days. Since I haven’t yet taken retirement, how can I speak against my own Board?” he asks.
‘It could be a publicity stunt!’

According to reports, these alleged comments have apparently been made on a forthcoming reality show. Ask him if these reports have been leaked by the TV channel and Kambli fumes, “After watching the show you will realize that these reports are a pack of lies. I haven’t said anything even remotely close to what has been reported. It could be a publicity stunt, for all I know!” So, has he spoken to Sachin about this controversy? “He’s currently in England, but I will be meeting him soon and setting the record straight,” he says getting emotional.
