Its might proven, TRS now wants to work with JAC

Hyderabad, December 19: After the success of Mahagarjana in Warangal, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has decided to draw up an action plan and work under the guidance of the political Joint Action Committee (JAC).

“There are several forces which are supporting the T-cause. We will sit for a daylong discussion on December 24 and chalk out the action plan,” TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao told reporters here today.

Everything would be worked out under the guidance of the JAC, he said.

“The relentless fight for Telangana will continue,” Rao said while assuring that the movement, after December 31, would be peaceful and T-people would not resort to arson and violence.

“The people of Telangana have patience.

They exhibited patience even when the Centre constituted the Srikrishna Committee which was unnecessary as the Centre had already made pro-Telangana statements in both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. One lakh representations were given to the Committee Rao said.

“If the Centre goes back on its word, the country will lose its credibility. There will be no meaning for democracy,” Rao said.

On DGP Aravinda Rao’s remarks, Rao said they were not intended only for T-agitators but were also applicable to agitators in coastal Andhra.

“However, the DGP should not issue provocative statements against agitators of any region,” Rao said.

On the police plans to deploy more personnel in Telangana than Andhra, the TRS chief said it indicated that the T-movement was strong and the movement in Andhra was artificial.
