TRS senior leader T Harish Rao has said that the just-concluded all-party meeting had proved beyond doubt that it was a bogus meeting.
Talking to the media here on Friday, Harish Rao said the government had failed to provide a justifiable solution to a very serious problem like Telangana. Questioning how the Centre could seek another adjournment for giving solution to such a serious problem, the TRS leader charged the Centre with adopting delaying tactics since the beginning and the all-party meeting was just its extension.
The TRS leader said this was continuing like an unending TV serial. He said it was atrocious that the Centre was still delaying solution to the matter, though hundreds of students were dying for Telangana.
Stating that they expected at least a roadmap on Telangana, he said even that was not announced.
Harish Rao has faulted the Congress representatives for giving divergent views on Telangana. Reminding that Gade Venkata Reddy, one representative of the Congress party opposed State bifurcation and the other representative Suresh Reddy supported Telangana formation, Harish said people of Telangana were closely observing the attitude of Congress. He called upon the people to support the bandh called by his party chief KCR on Saturday.
Harish Rao also attacked the YSR Congress for its non-committal attitude. He said that instead of revealing its stand clearly, the new party had created ambiguity on the issue. He said how the party could say it was respecting the Telangana sentiment, without stating whether it supported Telangana or not.
He also said that the TDP also had not stated anything new. He said the party had cheated the people by mentioning about its old letter and questioned about the need for giving a letter in a sealed cover. He said that even in 2009, it was the TDP which blocked the Telangana process.
Reminding that it was more than two years since the Sri Krishna committee had given its report, he said the Congress attitude was evasive even today.
