It’s Back to Delhi for Sonam

Mumbai, August 06: Anil Kapoor’s film for his daughter Sonam, called ‘Ayesha’, is said to be based on the Jane Austen novel ‘Emma’, and is all set to begin with the shooting schedule.

The film will reportedly be shot in parts of old and New Delhi. The film’s first schedule is set to begin at the end of the month.

The film will be directed by Rajshri Ojha and stars Abhay Deol, Ira Dubey, Arunoday Singh, Cyrus Sahukar, Amita and Lisa. The film has Sonam playing the lead role of a motherless girl who takes cares of her family and thus develops into an opinionated, controlling woman over the years.

The two month long first schedule will be followed by a schedule in Mumbai, after which the film is expected to wrap up. The film’s actors, including Sonam, are currently undergoing a workshop where they are working on their accents and diction, besides getting to know each other well, all of which should hopefully translate into great comfort in front of the camera.

Incidentally, it will be back to Delhi, where Sonam shot for certain portions of her last movie, ‘Delhi 6’, though most of it was shot in Jaipur.
