‘Itna sannata kyun hai bhai?’ Shiv Sena hits out at Govt.

Cornering the saffron party over the economic slump in the country, the Shiv Sena took a jibe at its partner BJP. Writing about how economic slowdown has been affecting farmers and conning people, the Shiv Sena in its editorial Saamana, stated that even though the monsoons are over, it is still raining heavily at many places causing heavy losses to farmers.

Asking “Why so much silence on Diwali?” Shiv Sena asserted that there was a silence in the Indian market. It claimed that the country’s money is going outside through online shopping.

Saying that the country is facing economic slowdown, Shiv Sena claimed that there was no excitement at all in the market. The business was less by 30 to 40 percent due to slowdown, it maintained.

Demonetisation and GST were causing more problems to the country’s economy, claimed the editorial. They were supposed to improve the economy but are having an adverse effect, it added.

Highlighting the issue of job losses across the country, the Shiv Sena stated, “Factories and industries are being shut down. Employment is not there. People are losing jobs.”

It also slammed government for withdrawing money from the RBI reserves. The Shiv Sena said, “Banks are getting bankrupt. Peoples’ pockets are empty so is the government’s Tijori [locker]. Therefore, reserved money from the RBI was taken out.” India Today reported.

Talking about the festivities around Diwali, Saamna in its editorial said, “There is an economic slowdown in the country today. The excitement which prevails in markets for firecrackers around Diwali is still missing.”
The Editorial while reminding that Dhanteras and Laxmi Pooja has already gone, said, “There are two days left for “Navvarsha” and “Bhaiyya Duj”. However, due to slowdown, purchases in the markets have been 30 to 40 per cent lesser. Due to GST and Demonetisation, the economic situation is deteriorating day by day instead of improving.”

Making a reference to the banking crisis, the Editorial said, “Election which took place in Maharashtra just before Diwali…there too, it was more silence than excitement.”

“For the better future of the country and Maharashtra, seeing the silence at every level, there is only one question echoing – itna sannata kyun hai bhai (Why there is so much silence),” the editorial said.
