“It is very regrettable that our daughters are marrying non-Muslims because of dowry which is against of Islamic principles” – Du ba Du program for ladies successful

Hyderabad: Ms. Khursheed Farzana associate president of Jamat-e-Islami, Telangana appealed to Muslim ladies to adopt Quran and Sunnah as the guiding principles in their lives and especially in performing marriages. Allah (SWT) has ordained that we should make marriages simple but we are making them difficult which is resulting in various issues in the lives of our children. She was addressing 48th Du ba Du (Face to Face) Matrimonial Alliance Program organized by Minorities Development Forum of Siasat Urdu Daily at SA Imperial Garden, Towlichowki yesterday. She said that while selecting the girl and the boy religious background should be given preference since only religious boys and girls would prove to be the best assets for the community. The downfall of Muslim community is due to negligence of Allah’s commands and the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). We should select such girls who are virtuous, educated and disciplined. A good wife can make her house paradise and her husband’s life peaceful and prosperous. It is very tragic that despite having the knowledge of facts we are neglecting Islamic teachings. Materialism has not only damaged our character, it has also shattered our thought process. Extravagant expenses and exhibition of wealth is damaging our community. There is common tendency of demanding dowry which is against Islamic principles. It is resulting in divorce. She advised the Muslims to refrain from extravaganza.
