Ranchi, April 27: The IT department today submitted to the Jharkhand High Court a progress report of its probe into DA cases against former chief minister Madhu Koda and several of his former Cabinet colleagues.
The counsel of the IT handed over a sealed cover containing the progress report to the division bench headed by Chief Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra.
The Enforcement Directorate, however, sought some more time from the division bench headed by Mishra to submit the same.
The bench asked the state whether it wanted the CBI to probe into the corruption charges against close Koda aides Binod Sinha and Sanjay Choudhary, ex-ministers Dulal Bhuyan and Chandraprakash Choudhary and fixed May 11 for next hearing.
Both Sinha and Sanjay Choudhary are still absconding despite having summons by all the three investigating agencies — ED, IT and state Vigilance Bureau.
