Hyderabad, October 07: Officials of the Income Tax department conducted searches at all the branch offices of Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) and reportedly seized some incriminating documents today.
Sources told Express that unit II of the investigation wing of the IT started searches in the morning which continued till late in the night. The NCC has been in the forefront in construction of major projects and it is not clear whether the searches pertain to any particular project.
Sources further said that one of the directors of NCC, AGK Raju, who handles the accounts and finances of the company, is likely to be examined by the IT sleuths. ‘’The searches continued till late in the night and all the offices of NCC were covered. A clear picture will emerge tomorrow,’’ sources said.
