It is a holistic budget, says Delhi BJP

Delhi BJP today termed as holistic the general budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and said it was a foundation of good days ahead.

“This Budget has taken care of the needs of both the urban and the rural areas. The middle class and the poor will also feel happy with it. Efforts have been made to give due respect to the young entrepreneurs, defence forces and the women in this Budget,” the newly-appointed Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said.

He said the budget has shown sensitivity towards to the youth and the poor by creating “Young Entrepreneur’s Fund” of Rs 10,000 crore and housing fund of Rs 4000 crore for the urban poor, as envisaged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the countrymen self dependent and self employed.

“This is a holistic budget. Raising the exemption limit of income tax from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.50 lakh will provide 25 per cent relief in the Income Tax and it will benefit the lower middle class of India rising with the help of their education and skill,” Upadhyay added.

The Delhi BJP chief also said provision of Rs 500 crore has been made in this budget to curb inflation which would help in controlling the prices of essential commodities.
