It is essential to highlight genuine historical events

Communal elements have tarnished the image of the Muslim rulers of Hyderabad by which the minds of youngsters have been polluted. These thoughts were expressed by Captain L. Pandu Ranga Reddy, President, Voice of Telangana who is a champion of Hindu-Muslim unity.

He was talking to newsmen yesterday at a press conference held under the auspices of Telangana Movement Founders’ Forum, Tameer-e-Millath and Voice of Telangana jointly.

Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Reddy told that those who claim Bhadrachalam Temple to be part of Seema Andhra do not know historical facts. During the reign of Qutub Shahi King, Tanesha, Bhadrachalam Temple was established at the expenditure of Govt. 12 adjoining villages were endowed for meeting the expenses of this temple. In addition to this, every year, pearly and silk sarees used to be sent as gifts to this temple by the rulers.

Captain Panduranga Reddy further told that this system continued till the end of Asif Jahi period. After the formation of A.P. State this responsibility was given to Collector of Khammam. He told that Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi rulers established the precedents of secularism which cannot be forgotten. He informed that criminal silence of Dept. of Archeology and Endowment is very deplorable. He said that he has been asking the details about Bhagya Lakshmi Temple adjacent to Charminar but the Dept. of Endowment is not supplying this information for the past 2 years.

Mr. K. M. Arifuddin, Convener of 1969 Telangana Movement Founders’ Forum termed the Muslim Rulers as secular.

Mr. Ziauddin Nayyar, representing Tameer-e-Millath told that Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi were the proponents of Hindu-Muslim unity. Dr. Chiranjeevi, Convener of the Forum told that it is the need of the hour to expose the genuine historical facts.
