“Islam instructed to give special attention to promote peace and harmony. But the society misunderstood and misjudged Islam. It is because the evil elements are continuously spreading immoralities about Islam, which would lead to disrupt the peace in the society,” says Moulana Rabey Hasani Nadwi, president, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, on the annual programme of Moulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi Islamic Academy at the Tanzeem ground here on February 06.
Islam gives equal preference to spread peace along with its teaching. Spreading harmony is a responsibility of every individual. Islam is a religion which came into existence to the humanity not only for Muslims. It is our primary responsibility to spread its teachings to the uninformed, he added. “Education is a need of the hour for the Muslim community. We lack in it. Hence, that would be the reason for the downfall of Muslims in this country”, he stressed.
Dr. Mahmood-ur-Rahman, retired IAS officer and former vice chancellor of Muslim Aligarh University also shared his views on the occasion. Highlighting the status of Muslim education in India, he said that Muslims are far behind in education when compared to the others. We should bring educational reform and we must produce more number of IAS and IPS officers from our community. “Nothing is impossible, quality education , motivation and financial aid are required to outshine children in this field. It is an equal responsibility of parents’ as well as educational organisations to motivate and guide children in accurate direction,” he opined.
