I.T. companies to get uninterrupted power supply

CM of AP, Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy instructed the officials to ensure uninterrupted electric supply to IT companies. As per the ITC Policy, these companies have been given exemption from power shutdown.

He instructed the Principal Secretary of Energy to review the situation of I.T. companies. Hyderabad occupies second place in I.T. industry.

CM extended the scope of “Me Seva” and sanctioned 100 service centers to be set up as early as possible so that this programme could be adequately implemented. “Me Seva” centre’s service was launched on 4th November 2011 in Chittoor District. At present 58 “Me Seva” centers are functioning. These centers provide services for the departments for revenue, registration, GHMC, Municipalities, Police etc.

It has become easier for the people to register FIR at these people’s friendly centers. They are functioning in every police station.

Mr. P. Laxmaiah, Minister for Information Technology, Mr. Raghuveera Reddy, Revenue Minister, Ms. Minnie Mathew, Chief Secretary and other higher officials attended the meeting.

CM also instructed the officials to provide vast opportunities to the I.T. companies for establishing their offices in the state. There is a need to provide infrastructure to Wipro, Tata Consultancy Service and other I.T. Companies in Gopanpally Campus.
