Israeli troops detain 3 Palestinians

Gaza, August 19: According to local sources, Israeli troops entered the Palestinian town of Abu Dis, which is due east of al-Quds (Jerusalem), in the early hours of Wednesday and seized two Palestinian men, dragging them out of their houses.

In a separate assault, Israeli troops moved into the town of al-Khalil (Hebron) in the southern West Bank and arrested one person at his home.

Israeli soldiers said they were searching for people on the “wanted” list of the army.

Palestinians say that the people who are listed as “wanted” have never had any affiliation with any armed group, but may have been listed by an informant because of a personal or family grudge.

Activists have always said the “wanted” list is just an excuse the Israelis use to round up suspects.
