A sessions court here Wednesday issued notice to the Delhi Police on a revision petition of journalist Syed Mohammad Kazmi arrested for alleged involvement in the Feb 13 Israeli embassy car bombing case.
Kazmi in his plea, moved through counsel Mehmood Pracha, challenged a magistrate’s order passed July 20 that granted police additional time for investigation.
Additional Sessions Judge Surinder S. Rathi directed that notice be issued to the police and listed the matter for hearing July 30.
Kazmi also moved a fresh bail application in the sessions court.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav July 20 allowed a fresh application of the police seeking additional time for the probe.
While seeking the extension, police said that the conspiracy behind the Feb 13 Israeli embassy car bombing had an international link.
Kazmi was arrested March 6 for his alleged involvement in the bombing.
Four people were injured when an Israeli embassy car was struck by a bomb. Tal Yehoshua Koren, 42, wife of Israeli defence attache Colonel Yossi Refaelov, suffered multiple injuries when a magnetic explosive device attached to her car by a motorcycle rider exploded.
