Israel kills three ranking Hamas activists

Gaza, April 02: A missile-equipped Israeli aircraft attacked a car boarding ranking Hamas activists in Gaza at dawn on Saturday killing three of the commanders.

The car was targeted near Abu Holi cross-road north of the town of Khan Youness in the south of Gaza Strip.

Adham Abu Salmiah, spokesman of the strip emergency department, said in a statement that a fourth militant was seriously wounded in the strike.
Vowing revenge for the deadly attack, Izz-Eddine Al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a statement that the assassination of the three Hamas leaders constituted dangerous escalation, also warning that the “enemy would pay a high price for this crime.” A spokesman of the Israeli Army said the militants planned to abduct Israelis.

Later, the political organization of Hamas issued a statement condemning the assassination of the trio, warning that Israel would be responsible for the dire consequences of the deadly attack.
