Ranchi, April 06: AICC President Sonia Gandhi today announced that Rs one lakh would be given from the party fund to the family of the person killed in police firing at Islamnagar here, as the Congress demanded a probe alleging that there was a conspiracy against Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay.
“The AICC president today announced Rs one lakh from party fund to be given to the family of the person who was killed in the police firing during the anti-encroachment drive here yesterday,” AICC spokesman, Shakeel Ahmed told reporters here.
The party would also give Rs 25,000 each to two seriously injured persons and Rs 10,000 each to seven other injured, Ahmed, who visited the demolished sites at Islamnagar and Nagababa Khatal, said.
