Islamic scholar mistaken as terrorist, burnt on Kejriwal’s Ravan effigy

New Delhi: People on Tuesday celebrated Dussehra with traditional burning of Ravan’s effigy.

A green-coloured Ravana in New Delhi bore the words ‘Aatanki Pak (terrorist Pakistan)’ stood tall, waiting to be burnt to the ground.

The ten heads of the demon king of Lanka was replaced with photos of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Army Chief Raheel Sharif and people like Hafiz Saeed.

But Islamic Scholar Advocate Faiz Syed was also seen in the pictures.

A question is being raised on what basis Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters have listed the Islamic Scholar in the Pakistani militant category.

Advocate. Faiz Syed runs an organization called Islamic Research Centre (IRC). It is a registered, non-profit organization, established in 2001 & Mr. Faiz is its founder president.

The organisation’s aim is to convey the true message of Islam (Peace) to Muslims as well as Non-Muslims and to remove misconceptions about Islam.

The organization aims to provide social and welfare assistance to poor and needy in the field of Education, Health & Charity.
