Karachi, January 02: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hasan said Sunday that Islamic revolution is the only solution to the problems in the country, saying that all major parties have miserably failed to deliver.
Addressing a big public meeting at Bacha Khan chowk in Karachi, he said that all previous military and civilian governments failed to solve problems of the people and Islamic revolution can get rid of frustration of the masses.
Hasan said Pakistan needs Islamic revolution as it can ensure justice to the common people who were gifted hunger, corruption, bad governance, unemployment, lawlessness, price-hike, power and gas shortage and many more problems.
He lashed out at the President and the Prime Minister for their failure to solve problems of the people. He also criticized Nawaz Sharif and held him responsible for the mess as he had backed the government.
He said the people have voted two political parties to the power and now they want a change in Pakistan and that is why Islamic revolution is knocking at the door of Pakistan. The Jamaat chief also called for talks between the army and the Taliban militants to end to the years of bloodshed in Pakistan, which has claimed the lives of 35,000 people and 5000 security personnel.
He said the United States has started talks with Afghan Taliban then why Pakistan army cannot talk to own people. He said Jamaat-e-Islamic has continued ‘Go America Go’ movement as American rulers interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs.
He said Pakistani government is making pro-US policies because of American interference. He said Americans have carried out several attacks inside Pakistan, adding that all attacks were US conspiracies against Pakistan. He said the US is trying to weaken Iran and occupy oil and other resources in Central Asia.
The JI ameer said the US is conspiring against Pakistan’s nuclear programme and its Islamic identity. He demanded of the government to change the country’s foreign policy and get rid of the US influence and live as a real independent and sovereign state.
Munawwar Hassan said Islamic parties are only campaigning for US-free Pakistan and to implement Islamic system. “The 180 million people of Pakistan want to get rid of the corrupt rulers,” he said.
The JI chief also condemned the Awami National Party (ANP) for its silence over the killings of Pashtoons in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He questioned as to why the ANP leaders are waving red flags as now the party is receiving dollars from the US.
He asked the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to exercise constitutional powers to get implemented the SC verdicts. He said that the government is intentionally avoiding implementation of the SC decisions and it is high time for the CJP to take constitutional steps to enforce all decisions.
Jamaat leader Liaquat Baloch said if elected to power, Jamaat will reduce prices of essential items by 30 percent in few months.
