Tehran, February 09: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the Islamic Revolution of Iran is a great and historic event, which belongs to all human beings and nations.
Congratulating the Iranian nation on the victory of the Islamic Revolution, President Ahmadinejad said February 11, which marks the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution belongs to all justice-seeking nations.
The Iranian chief executive made the remarks following the inauguration of Mamlou dam, east of the capital, Tehran on Wednesday, IRNA reported.
Recalling the Iranian nation’s role and efforts in bringing about the Islamic Revolution, President Ahmadinejad said that 32 years after the revolution, the nation’s perspectives and outlook have been broadened, which indicate that this victory has become more effective, the Iranian president further added.
The Iranian people were determined to rid themselves from despotism and dictatorship 32 years ago, but today they are “seeking to reform the entire globe,” the Iranian chief executive noted.
In 1979, the Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi dictatorship and put an end to 2,500 years of monarchy in the country.
