Iranian Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic Awakening in the region has been unprecedented since the Islamic Revolution.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution made the remarks addressing Heads of the three Branches of Government, Chairman of Iran’s Assembly of Leadership Experts, a number of Iranian parliament members and military commanders, and many other senior officials of the Islamic Republic on Sunday.
Ayatollah Khamenei continued that the Islamic Republic of Iran has proved that it can thwart all the plots hatched by enemies of the country, noting: “we faced many threats during the past 32 years; political threats, security threats, military threats, and economic threats.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also described people’s trust in the Islamic Republic as another point of strength for the country, saying that there are not many countries in the world whose people have such a great deal of confidence in the government.
The Leader also hailed Iran’s steady progress despite the sanctions against Iran as another point of strength for the country, saying that the country’s advancements have frustrated the pressures imposed by the West on the Islamic Republic.
“Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is known as a respected, influential, and credible country in the arena of international politics,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei then moved to the deteriorating image of the United States in the Middle East, noting that Washington is also facing serious challenges at home, including a deepening economic crisis.
