Bhopal, December 07: The three-day 62nd International Tablighi Ijtema (Islamic congregation)here ended today with offering of a grand ” Dua ” (prayer) for the well being of community, peace and harmony in the world.
The “Dua” was delivered by Maulana Saad Saheb of Nizamuddin Markaz, New Delhi who prayed to almighty Allah to forgive people across the globe and shower blessings on them.
More than 12 lakh people, including about 21,000 jamaats (group) from across India and 150 jamaats from about 15 countries, like Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh,South Africa, UAE, and Sri Lanka had joined the third biggest Islamic congregation, a top organising committee member aid.
Organising committee members Atiqul Islam and Ausaf Shahmiri Khurram told PTI that huge tents were errected at Ghansipura and about 600 temporary hotels were put up for the jamaats from India and abroad.
The Indian Railways had also opened their reservation counter at the Ijtema site, medical camps and fire brigade has also been established there to meet any emergency there.
Police have made special security arrangements for providing safety and security to the Ijtema participants and CRPF, SAF and other companies of armed forces have been deployed to ensure peace at the site.
