Bhopal, December 06: The 62nd International Tablighi Ijtema (Islamic congregation), which saw participation of over 12 lakh people, concluded here today with a prayer for peace and harmony in the world.
More than 12 lakh people, including about 21,000 jamaats (group) from across India and 150 jamaats from about 15 countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, South Africa, the UAE, and Sri Lanka had joined the third biggest Islamic congregation, an organising committee member said.
The “Dua” (prayer) for world peace was delivered by Maulana Saad Saheb of Nizamuddin Markaz, New Delhi at the end of the three-day event.
Special security arrangements were made and companies of CRPF and other armed forces were deployed.
