Islam is the religion of peace, not a religion of terrorism: Mufti of Masjid-e-Nabwi

New Delhi: Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth Hind, one of the oldest religious organization of Sunni Muslims in India is organizing a 2-day conference, here at Ramleela Grounds under the title “Restoration of World Peace and Protection of Humanity.” Several prominent social, religious and spiritual figures from across the world addressed on the first day of the conference.

“Islam is a religion of peace. It is not a religion of hatred and terrorism. It not only propagates the safety of mankind but also guarantees the safety of all the creatures”, said Mufti of the Masjid-e-Nabwi.

Addressing on the occasion Jamiat President Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahdi Salafi said “the greatest challenge of the present time is the propagation of world peace and safety of mankind. The youth should work as messengers of peace and should not be enticed by the anti-social elements, he said, adding that they should work for humanity and brotherhood.

He lamented that today, terrorism and militancy has reached to its highest. Humanity is groaning, there is no value of human lives. Caste conflict is promoted and the communal gulf is widened. Violence and brutality are widespread in the name of religion. In this scenario establishing peace and protecting humanity is the greatest challenge.

Islamic scholars from different parts of the country are attending the two-day conference, which is being organised with the objective of combating the menace of terrorism and to promote national integrity, solidarity, brotherhood, peace and stability.
