Ballia: BJP Bairia MLA Surendra Singh while addressing a gathering in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia stated that in the 2019 general elections, Islam will compete against God.
“2019 ka chunav, Islam banam Bhagwaan hone jaa raha hai”, said Singh. He also added that the opposition party is anti-nationalist.

Singh drawn flak from all quarters after he came out in support of BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is facing rape charges, saying that no one could rape a mother of three children.
“I am speaking from a psychological point of view; no one can rape a mother of three children. It is not possible, this is a conspiracy against him (Kuldeep Singh Sengar),” Singh told ANI.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Thursday issued a notice to the BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh’s Bangarmau district over his bizarre statement on Unnao rape case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday detained Sengar for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl here.
An FIR was lodged against the BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar on Thursday under sections 363 (kidnapping), 366 (abduction of woman), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the case was handed over to the CBI.
