ISIS ultras’ remand extended, two more held

Five suspected IS modules arrested by the NIA recently were today produced in Nampally criminal court after expiry of NIA custody. The court has granted 12-day NIA custody earlier.

The NIA pleaded with the court to extend custody of Accused No. I and 2 for another eight days to as to get more information about their nefarious activities, including seized SIM cards. The court sent the remaining three suspects for judicial remand till July 26. The arrest of five youths, who allegedly have links with the ISIS reportedly gave important information to the investigating agency during their custody.

         Meanwhile, the NIA arrested two more youths, who are also sympathisers of the ISIS in the city. On the information given by arrested suspected ISIS modules, NIA took Yasir Niyamadullah and Atta-ul Rahman into the custody and produced in the court. With the two more arrests today, the number of ISIS modules arrested rose to seven in Hyderabad city. With these timely arrests, the NIA has foiled a major disaster in the city as they ultras were planning to disturb peace in the city. (NSS)
