Ahead of the Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir, security agencies have warned of possible attempts by Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed to disrupt the electoral process in the state.
According to sources, Saeed is being backed by Pakistani Army and ISI to target poll rallies and politicians in the state.
It further stated that Saeed relocated to near the India-Pak border to ensure that his elaborate strategy to terrorise India was implemented flawlessly.
Saeed had recently asked the LeT militants to recruit youths from the state who had become homeless and jobless after the September 7 floods caused massive destruction, sources in Indian intelligence agencies had said.
Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in five phases between November 25 and December 20.
The counting of votes will take place on December 23.
