The TDP is contemplating in terms of disowning its Telangana leader and MLA Revanth Reddy, following his alleged involvement in the ‘Cash for Vote’ scam. This appears to be the thinking of the party leadership if the statement made by a minister in A P’s Chandrababu Naidu government K Acchen Naidu is any indication.
Acchen Naidu, speaking to the media here today, said that the party has nothing to do with Revanth Reddy. The issue Revanth Reddy’s arrest is separate. “We have no relation with this”. Revanth would be punished if he is guilty, or he would come out unscathed if he is innocent. The matter is in the Court and hence it could not be discussed further, he added.
Acchen Naidu also sought to raise the phone tapping issue and said TRS Government cannot tap Chandrababu’s private conversations. He said that if Telangana Chief Minister KCR takes one step against the TDP, they would move hundred steps further.
The Minister also said that it was surprising that YCP leader YS Jagan complaining against TDP, when he himself was involved in corruption cases. The people would teach a fitting lesson to YCP and the TRS, eh added. (NSS)
