Is Rahul praising or scolding Modi: Harish

Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today accused the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi of visiting Telangana State for petty political gain and to wake up his inactive party workers.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Harish Rao excoriated Rahul Gandhi for dubbing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as “mini-Modi”. “Is Rahul praising or scolding Prime Minister Narendra Modi?” he asked. He also ridiculed Rahul Gandhi for enacting a new drama of “Ryothu Bharosa Yatra” just to make the crest-fallen Congress workers active. Rahul, who disappeared during Parliament session, has no moral right to criticize the TRS Government, he said.

Attributing the farmers’ suicides to the lopsided policies of the Congress, Harish Rao dismissed Rahul’s so-called “Bharosa Yatras” are of no use. “The KCR Government was sparing no efforts for the cause of the poor and the farmers”, he said. The Congress government, which failed to take any useful measures to wean the farmers away from suicides, was now resorting to mud-slinging activity in despair, he charged. (NSS)
