Hyderabad, January 04: Govt. of A.P. will complete 30 irrigation projects including 15 in Telangana, 10 in Coastal Andhra and 5 in Rayalaseema.
While inaugurating the Departmental calendar for 2012, Minister for irrigation. Mr. P. Sudershan Reddy told the newsmen yesterday that Govt. released Rs. 3800 crore for clearing the previous bills of the contractors. He said problems are being created due to contractors’ approaching the courts. He also said that the demand of the contractors for EBS is being considered by the Govt.
Major irrigation projects such as Pranihita, Chevella, Polavaram are under consideration.Govt. of A.P. has been exorting its pressure on Govt. of India to finalise these projects as early as possible.
