Nizamabad, September 05: Irrigation Minister P Sudarshan Reddy on Sunday announced that he would declare his assets in the next two days.
Hailing the declaration of assets by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, Sudarshan Reddy said that he and his family members would disclose their assets in a couple of days to bring transparency in politics.
The Minister denied rumours that the Telangana Congress leaders did not honour their promise on the Telangana state formation by attending to their duties and cabinet meeting. He said the Telangana Congress leaders were continuously mounting constant pressure on the Centre demanding statehood for the region.
The Minister also briefed the media about various steps being taken by the state government to tackle heavy inflow of water into reservoirs. He said the officials of the irrigation department have been instructed to take up desiltation of all tanks to prevent submergence of villages adjoining them. He said the department has been keeping 24-hour vigil on the situation.
