Hyderabad: Irrigation Advisor to the Government of Telangana R Vidyasagar Rao, who was undergoing treatment for, passed away at 11.23 a.m here on Saturday.
He was a renowned Irrigation expert and was considered an authority on irrigation matters.
As reported by Telangana Today, he was suffering from metastatic bladder cancer for the last eight months and was being treated at the Continental Hospitals.
According to hospital bulletin the malignant cancer progressed to other vital organs and his condition deteriorated and he passed away peacefully.
Chief Secretary was directed by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to make arrangements for organising a State funeral for Vidyasagar Rao.
