MUMBAI: Irrfan Khan had on March 15, left everyone in a state of shock as he revealed that he has been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour.
Reports of the 51-year-old actor’s health is consistently deteriorating is being spread, however, Irrfan’s spokesperson dismisses rumour reports on the actor’s health.
In the latest statement, the actor’s spokesperson said, “This latest round of news being spread through social media in the last few days about Irrfan’s health is absolutely false and there’s no truth to it whatsoever. We as his family and friends again request the members of the media to continue their support and the prayers that have come Irrfan’s way. However it’s not right to spread rumours through mediums of social media without fact check or any official validation. In the meanwhile once again we request everyone to refrain from picking up social media statuses as affirmative developments on someone’s health.”
Film journalist Umair Sandhu in a tweet said that Irrfan’s health is consistently deteriorating.
Sandhu, on Twitter, wrote, “As per family sources, his cancer is at last stage and doctors were of opinion that he may not last for more than a month.” He, however, soon deleted the post.
He is currently undergoing treatment for the NET, a rare form of cancer in the UK.
