C. Vittal, the Telangana Employees’ Association president, has been apportioned to Andhra Pradesh during the division of state-cadre employees.
Mr Vittal hails from Medak and his service record states the same, in spite of that he has been allotted to AP. This has shocked Telangana employees.
According to them, this incident opens the elements of the irregularities being committed by some officials, who are pulling out all the stops to keep the Seemandhra employees in Telangana and transfer the genuine Telangana employees to Seemandhra.
“This is a conspiracy hatched by some Seemandhra officials who are against me for actively taking part in the Telangana agitation,” claimed Mr Vittal.
However, official sources denied the allegations.
“Posts are not allotted looking at employees’ names. We look at the number of posts and the share each state should get in proportion to population,” said an official.
